Fight Corporate Monopolies PAC Announces Ad Buy in Oregon’s 5th District

Washington, D.C. — The new Fight Corporate Monopolies PAC today announced a six-figure Broadcast television and digital buy in Oregon’s 5th congressional district highlighting the role of corporate influence and the economic struggles of Oregonians, in support of Democrat Jamie McLeod-Skinner in her race against extremist Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer in the homestretch of the election. The new ad features Chavez-DeRemer’s investments in Big Oil and Big Pharma, and her endorsement of former President Trump’s massive tax cuts for big corporations. McLeod-Skinner defeated incumbent and corporate Democrat Kurt Schrader earlier this year.

“Working families have a champion in Jamie McLeod-Skinner, who will stand up against the corporate monopolies price-gouging Oregonians,” Helen Brosnan, Executive Director of Fight Corporate Monopolies PAC said. “Washington is already full of corrupt multi-millionaire politicians who only care about doing the bidding for big corporations and their own financial gain — like Chavez-DeRemer. McLeod-Skinner has refused to take corporate donations, vowed to stand up to corporate lobbyists, increase wages, and supports a ban on members of Congress trading stocks. She’s an independent thinker, understands the needs of working class people and small business owners, and has made it clear she’ll stand up to corporate special interests in both parties.”
