Fight Corporate Monopolies Launches New Effort to Fight Back Against Attacks on Antitrust

Leading Anti-Monopoly Group Announces New Executive Director and Launches War Room Initiative with Six-Figure Polling Project and New Branding

WASHINGTON, DC – Fight Corporate Monopolies today announced a massive new effort to fight back against big corporations’ war against democracy and a fair economy.

Fight Corporate Monopolies appointed Helen Brosnan as the Executive Director as the anti-monopoly group launches the Fight Corporate Monopolies War Room, a new campaign to counter the Chamber of Commerce and Big Tech’s war on antitrust. In addition, Fight Corporate Monopolies unveiled a new brand identity and a six-figure polling project.

“Every day, politicians side with powerful corporations over American families, businesses, and communities. They believe you’ll never know about the back room deals they make to keep corporate lobbyists happy and campaign cash rolling in,” said Sarah Miller, Fight Corporate Monopolies’ board member. “With the appointment of Helen Brosnan as our Executive Director and the launch of the War Room, we’re making sure that the American people know just how big corporations are undermining our economy and our democracy, and how we can fight back together.”

“We finally have antitrust champions on the side of the American people, but now Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Ag, and Wall Street have declared a ‘war’ to keep their grip on economic power,” said Helen Brosnan, Executive Director of Fight Corporate Monopolies. “Fight Corporate Monopolies will lead the fight back on behalf of working people and honest businesses across the country. Big corporations’ allies in Washington will be running scared.”

The Fight Corporate Monopolies War Room will serve as an aggressive rapid response campaign to counter the corporate attacks on antitrust enforcement. The launch of the War Room comes after the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – a front group backed by Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Ag, and Wall Street CEOs – declared “war” on the FTC and antitrust enforcement across the federal government.

Coinciding with the launch of the War Room, Fight Corporate Monopolies also announced a six-figure public opinion polling effort. Preliminary polling results were released today, showing overwhelming support across the political spectrum to rein-in the power of big corporations:

  • 87% of Americans, including 81% of people identifying as moderate, agree that “Big corporations have too much power.”
  • 77% of Americans, including 80% of people making $49,000 or less, agree that “Elected officials must act to prevent big corporations from hurting Americans.”

Fight Corporate Monopolies today also debuted a new brand identity, showcasing the aggressive footing of the group’s campaign to check corporate power. The new branding debuted on FightCorporateMonopolies.org and on FCM’s social media channels, including @fightmonopolies on Twitter, @fightcorporatemonopolies on Instagram.
