Fight Corporate Monopolies Launches New Ad on Richard Neal’s Support of Corporate Tax Cuts

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Fight Corporate Monopolies has released a new ad targeting Congressman Richard Neal (D-MA), Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. Set to run in the Springfield-Holyoke media market ahead of the Massachusetts primary on September 1st, the ad highlights Neal’s efforts to protect President Trump’s corporate tax cuts for greedy corporations, like Blackstone.

“President Trump’s tax cuts did little for Richie Neal’s constituents but they mean everything to the corporations backing his campaign,” said Morgan Harper, Senior Advisor at Fight Corporate Monopolies. “Neal’s habit of putting corporate profits above people’s needs will only continue if he is reelected. It’s time for MA-01 to hold Neal accountable.”

After President Trump gave huge tax breaks to corporate America, Blackstone’s effective tax rate dropped to negative 1.3% in 2019. Richie Neal advanced legislation that upheld the Trump tax cuts for big corporations. Blackstone is now one of Richie Neal’s top campaign contributors, as well as one of Donald Trump’s.
