Fight Corporate Monopolies Applauds House Passage of Landmark Antitrust Bill

Washington, D.C. — Fight Corporate Monopolies issued the following statement applauding the passage of the Merger Filing Fee Modernization Act in the U.S. House of Representatives after a 242-184 bipartisan vote:

“This vote is a win for the ongoing battle against Big Tech and their cronies. In the face of unfettered monopoly power, consumers and small businesses won,” Helen Brosnan, Executive Director of Fight Corporate Monopolies said. “We applaud the members of Congress who made it clear that they’re willing to stand up to Big Tech’s desperate lobbying efforts to kill this bill. The lawmakers who did Google and Big Tech’s bidding today should know they are now on notice. We look forward to the bills passage in the Senate and for a major antitrust bill to be signed into law for the first time in decades.”
